Hi! I'm Ana, the person behind Barreltopía.

I've been a skier since I was a child and a surfer since I was 18, when the sea and the board captivated me forever.

After finishing my degree, I went to Australia with the dream of diving in the Great Barrier Reef. I expected to find life and color... but I found the exact opposite: white corals. Dead.

The locals explained something that blew my mind: the sunscreen we put on before going into the water is one of the causes of coral destruction.

That's when I understood that protecting ourselves from the sun shouldn't mean harming the environment we enjoy the most. And although many filters are still legal in Europe, in countries like Hawaii they are prohibited.

I was convinced that we could protect ourselves from the sun without destroying the sea.

And that's how Barreltopía was born: sunscreens that are ocean-friendly and free of endocrine disruptors. Formulated and manufactured in our laboratory in Madrid, with a clear objective: to care for people and the planet.
