COOKIE POLICY

BARRELTOPIA – www.barreltopia.com

This Cookie Policy forms part of the privacy policies and legal information of the website www.barreltopia.com (hereinafter, the “Website”), owned by KISSLAND COSMETICS, S.L. (hereinafter, “BARRELTOPIA”). Through this document, the user is informed, clearly and precisely, about the cookies and other similar technologies used on the Website, their purpose, the type of data they collect, their duration, and how the user can configure, accept or reject them, in compliance with Article 22.2 of Law 34/2002, of July 11, on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI-CE), Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), and the Guide on the use of cookies by the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small data files received on the user's terminal (computer, smartphone, tablet) from the visited website and are used to record certain browsing interactions, storing data that can be updated and retrieved. These files are stored on the user's device and, unless expressly stated otherwise, do not contain data that allows personal identification, but rather generic information related to the user's preferences and browsing behavior.

Cookies allow, among other things, to remember user preferences (language, regional settings, login data, page customization), keep the session open, manage the shopping cart, and perform statistical analysis on the use of the Website.

You can find more information about cookies at: https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cookie

2. Cookies used on this Website

BARRELTOPIA uses strictly necessary and essential cookies for the proper functioning of the Website. In addition, with the user's prior consent, it uses analytical, personalization, advertising, and social media cookies that collect data related to the analysis of Website use, campaign performance, and user experience improvement.

For consent management, BARRELTOPIA uses the Pandectes GDPR Compliance consent management platform (CMP), certified by Google as a Consent Management Platform and integrated with Google Consent Mode v2 and Shopify's Customer Privacy API. This tool allows informing the user, collecting and storing their consent in a granular way by categories, blocking non-essential cookies until consent is granted, and providing the user with a configuration panel accessible at all times. The tool itself installs a technical cookie called “_pandectes_gdpr” whose sole purpose is to store the user's consent preferences; this cookie is strictly necessary and, therefore, does not require consent.

The Website uses first-party and third-party cookies to allow browsing, access secure areas, manage the purchase process, offer personalized options, measure audiences and, where appropriate, display personalized advertising based on browsing habits.

If the corresponding consent is obtained in the cookie settings panel, BARRELTOPIA will share certain data with third parties (technology providers, analytical and advertising platforms) so that they can offer measurement and ad personalization services on our behalf, which allows us to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of our campaigns and show the user relevant content.

3. Types of cookies by purpose and duration

Below are described the different types of cookies that may be used on the Website. The nominal and detailed list of active cookies at all times (provider, specific purpose, type, and retention period) is available in the Website's cookie settings panel.

3.1. According to the entity that manages them

  • First-party cookies: are those sent to the user's terminal equipment from a device or domain managed by BARRELTOPIA and from which the service requested by the user is provided.

  • Third-party cookies: are those sent to the user's terminal equipment from a device or domain not managed by BARRELTOPIA, but by another entity that processes data obtained through cookies (for example, web analytics providers, advertising platforms, or social networks).

3.2. According to the period of time they remain active

  • Session cookies: are temporary cookies that remain in the browser's cookie file until the user leaves the website, so none are recorded on the user's hard drive. The information obtained is used to analyze traffic patterns on the Web and allows improving content and facilitating its use.

  • Persistent cookies: are stored on the hard drive and the Web detects them every time the user makes a new visit. A persistent cookie has a specific expiration date, after which it will stop working. They are generally used to facilitate registration services, remember user preferences, or maintain shopping carts.

3.3. According to their purpose

  • Strictly necessary (technical) cookies: essential for the proper functioning of the Website and the use of the different options and services it offers. For example, those used for session maintenance, purchase process management, cart, user identification, response time management, performance or option validation, use of security elements, or content sharing with social networks. These cookies do not require user consent.

  • Functional or preference cookies: allow the user to specify or customize some features of the general options of the Website, improving the browsing experience. They allow, for example, to define the language, regional settings, browser type, or interact with customer service and receive support during browsing.

  • Analytical or performance cookies: are those used to carry out analysis of user behavior on the Website and browsing profiles, as well as to know user preferences in order to improve the offer of products and services. They allow, for example, to control the geographical areas of greatest interest, identify the most accepted products, or measure the most visited pages.

  • Targeting or advertising cookies: allow the effective management of advertising spaces included on the website or application from which the service is provided. They allow adjusting the content of advertising to be relevant to the user, avoiding showing ads that the user has already seen and measuring the performance of advertising campaigns on own and third-party platforms.

  • Social media cookies: to facilitate that the user can share Website content on different social networks (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, among others), specific buttons have been included. These buttons may cause the corresponding social network to install cookies that, not being under the direct control of BARRELTOPIA, may have the purpose of managing the user's login to the social network, maintaining that session, or displaying the counter on how many times certain content has been shared. The user is advised to regularly review the privacy and cookie policies of each social network and, if applicable, modify the privacy settings of each of them to limit tracking purposes and adjust them to their own interests.

It is possible that when visiting the Website, an advertisement or promotion about our products or services is published, installing a cookie in the browser that allows us to control our ads in relation, for example, to the number of times they are viewed, where they appear, at what time they are displayed, etc.

4. Third-party cookies and international transfers

Some cookies used on this Website are not managed by BARRELTOPIA, as certain pages or services integrate content from third-party websites (for example, e-commerce platforms, analytics tools, social networks, payment systems, tag managers or advertising pixels). Since such content comes from another website, BARRELTOPIA does not control the settings of these cookies.

If the user wishes to modify their configuration preferences regarding these cookies, they should consult the privacy and cookie policies of said third parties for detailed information, including any international data transfers to countries outside the European Economic Area and the applicable guarantees. This information is available, where applicable, in the Website's cookie configuration panel and in the corresponding policies of the third parties.

5. User consent

In accordance with current regulations, BARRELTOPIA requests the user's consent for the use of non-strictly necessary cookies. Consent is obtained through the first banner that appears when accessing the Website and, subsequently, through the configuration panel accessible at all times from the Website itself.

If the user decides not to authorize the use of non-essential cookies, by indicating it in the configuration panel or rejecting them, BARRELTOPIA will only install technical cookies, essential for browsing. In this case, no other cookies will be stored.

The user should be aware that, if they reject or delete browsing cookies, BARRELTOPIA may not be able to maintain their preferences, some Website functionalities may not be operative, personalized services may not be offered, and they may be asked for consent for the use of cookies again on each new visit.

The user can withdraw the consent given at any time, as well as modify their preferences, by accessing the cookie settings panel available on the Website.

6. How to configure or delete cookies in the browser

Without prejudice to the Website's cookie settings panel, the user can delete cookies or prevent this information from being recorded on their device by modifying their browser settings. Below are links to the main browsers with instructions on how to manage cookies:

Likewise, if the user wishes to have greater control over the installation of cookies, they can install programs or browser add-ons known as “Do Not Track” tools, which will allow them to choose which cookies they wish to allow or block.

7. Cookie settings panel

From this panel, you can also consult the cookie declaration with the detailed and updated list of active cookies, including owner, purpose, type, and duration of each one. The user can withdraw or modify their consent at any time by accessing this panel again.
